Abstract: Abstract The article investigates the dynamic terrain of environmental and social criteria’s significant influence on green finance decision-making. By comparing, the energy indices to established green authority standards such as the S&P Worldwide GCEI and the S&P/TSX RECTI, we observe that the S&P 500 Energy Index and the S&P Earth Oil Index have a higher level of predictability for future outcomes. Based on an extensive review of current research and developing patterns, this paper clarifies how the field of sustainable finance is changing. Green finance decision-making is heavily influenced by social and environmental variables, such as stakeholder participation and community development. Through a comprehensive analysis of critical publications, this paper highlights the increasing significance of incorporating environmental and social factors into financial strategy. The rising worldwide consciousness towards sustainable development necessitates comprehending the mutual influence of environmental and social aspects to formulate appropriate and successful green finance choices.
