Abstract:
The relationship between public research organization and industry has been difficult in the recent past. This difficulty mainly comes from non shared assumptions on roles and responsibilities of the two actors. The analysis of the situation is only the starting point to redefine targets and actions to reach them. This paper outlines an approach which suggests an agreement for economic and industrial development based on the exploitation of scientific research results. This approach cannot be exclusive, but it is one of the chances for the rising of a little innovative industry. The underlined themes are the managing of intellectual property and research contract between universities and industry, the running of spin off companies and the proposal of cooperation models.
