Fenoaltea on Industrial Employment in 1911: A Reply
Vera Negri Zamagni
Rivista di storia economica, 2016, issue 1, 109-112
Abstract:
This note is a comment to S. Fenoaltea, 'Industrial Employment in Italy in 1911: the burden of census data', "Rivista di storia economica", Vol. 31, pp. 225-246. It is argued that the coverage of the industrial census is (almost) complete, and that actual employment in industry was (little more than) the aggregate it reports.
