Abstract: We show that, for the interregional comparisons purposes, there is a necessity to develop a wellbeing index model which uses adaptive rational interpolation and which includes the statistical indicators and data of public and expert opinion polling. We offer a list of quantitative indicators and an algorithm to calculate an integrated index. The regional rating according to the wellbeing items is presented which allows identifying the regional weak and strong points and correcting the socio-economic policy to have the higher level and quality of life of the population.
