Perpustakaan STIPRAM Yogyakarta and Gerald Savedra

No 3u5cb, OSF Preprints from Center for Open Science

Abstract: Merlion is a mysterious creature with a lion-head and a fish body. In terms of its language, Mer means sea, and lion means lion. The fish body symbolizes that ancient Singapore was famous as a place with many fishermen. The lion's head symbolizes Singapore's name as a lion city. There are several merlion statues that are recognized as icons by the Singapore government. The easiest you can find is a merlion statue at Merlion Park - Marina Bay, and a merlion statue on Sentosa Island.
