Abstract:
This capstone focuses on the optimization of sustainable e-waste management strategies in the Philippine Coconut Authority-Zamboanga Research Center (PCA-ZRC) in the Philippines. It is revealed that stakeholders' involvement, capacity building, policy alignment, data management, and innovative technology adoption were critical components in the successful implementation of e-waste management strategies. Through the analysis and discussion of the results, it is evident that the adoption of an ecosystem approach to e-waste management could lead to improved environmental, social, and economic outcomes. Furthermore, this study has identified five lessons learned that could be used to guide future e-waste management initiatives, including the need for stakeholder engagement, capacity building, policy coherence, data management, and technological innovation. These findings contribute to the existing literature on e-waste management in the public administration field and provide valuable insights for practitioners and researchers seeking to improve their e-waste management practices.
