Abstract:
This paper aims to describe Indonesia's maritime policy (KKI) and its implications for the development of the maritime economy in Indonesia. The method used in this paper is The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by describing the facts available to then analyze and the data collected, Data collection techniques will be used data collection using secondary materials both theoretical and empirical in nature about the object of study which is obtained through library research. This paper reveals that Indonesia's Maritime Policy has been contained in Presidential Regulation Number 16 of 2017 concerning Indonesian Maritime Policy, which includes (1) marine resource management and human resource development; (2) marine security, law enforcement and safety at sea; (3) marine governance and institutions; (4) improving the economy and infrastructure of the marine sector and improving welfare; (5) management of marine space and protection of the marine environment; (6) maritime culture; and (7) maritime diplomacy. The KKI has implications for the development of Indonesia's maritime economy, including; Increased fisheries sector, Increased tourism and marine tourism sector, Increased aquaculture and aquaculture sector, Increased maritime connectivity and transportation, Increased Maritime Industry Investment, Education and Training, Regional and International Collaboration and Increased Local Community Involvement.
