Abstract:
ABSTRACT Basically, the village is the beginning for the formation of political society and government in Indonesia. Long before this modern state was formed, social units such as villages or indigenous peoples had become social institutions that held a very important position. They are autonomous institutions with their own traditions, customs and punishments that are deeply rooted and relatively independent from interference from outside powers. In an effort to realize good governance, it takes the Government's seriousness to achieve it, one of the aspects that must be fulfilled is the existence of community participation or good cooperation between the two parties, namely the community and the government so that in the future government services and community participation can run in balance for improvement. and village development in a better future. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between Village Government Services and Community Participation. This is based on the results of calculating the product moment correlation which is known that the correlation between Village Government Services is 2,660. That is, every time there is a change or increase of 7,428 in Community Participation in Welutu Village, Wermaktian District, Tanimbar Islands Regency, there will also be a change or increase in Village Community Participation by 7,428 as well. Meanwhile, at the significant level, the t-table is greater than the t-count 7,428 > 2,660 Keywords: Village Government Services and Community Participation
