Abstract: Today the world is facing a continuous evolution, and in this process ale age categories are affected. This is all the more obviously for the Z Generation, a generation born at the outskirts of the communist regime, or at the end of the cold war and at the beginning of the technology driven society. Among the many challenges that imply adaptation to this changing environment is that regarding food habits, that are dramatically influences by the introduction of technology in all life aspects, including here eating routine. One of the gools for this study was to identify the interests of young people in eating traditional food and also to underline the factors that influence their decisions to eat this type of food. The research ended with a test of knowledge regarding the origins of some traditional food products from different romanian countryside.
