MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
This paper serves as a brief introduction to the complex relationship between energy consumption and economic growth and between energy consumption and greenhouse emissions. We provide a critical overview of recent literature dealing with energy, carbon emissions and economic growth. We focus mainly on econometric literature examining causal effects between energy consumption and economic growth and on literature adding carbon emissions into the investigation of this topic.
