Recent Research on the Minimum Wage: Implications for Missouri

Jonathan Meer

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: I discuss the sources of the policy disputes surrounding the mini-mum wage, both theoretical and empirical. I focus on recent research, particularly on margins other than the level of employment, and ex-amine the distributional implications of minimum wage increases. I consider the impacts of recent proposals to increase the minimum wage in the state of Missouri.
