Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to explorethe relationship between leadership style, organizational culture,and organizational commitment in Pakistani manufacturing companies.Thedatawere collectedthrough questionnaire distributionand online form filling by 520 middle and senior managers of themanufacturing companies througha simple random sampling technique. The findings of the study are the transformational leadership style has a significant impact on organizational commitment,transactional leadership style has alow significant impact on organizational commitment. Bureaucraticorganizationalculture has the lowest impact, innovative organizational culture has the second-highest impactand supportive highest culture has the highestimpact on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment depends upon the leadership style and organizational culture. Organizational culture should be supportive and innovative for the highest commitment of the employees. Low response rate and less participation by the female side are the limitations.Althoughhis study is conducted in Pakistan, it is expectedthat the results of our study may have relevance to the other countries. By reproducing this study in differentcontexts and countriesour results would be very helpful to develop a new model of leadership and organizational culture with implementation techniques that can be easily operationalizedin a cross-cultural context.
