Abstract:
NZIER, as part of its public good programme, explores important policy issues that have emerged from our economic analysis and advice. In the course of a consulting assignment, the notion emerged of ‘durable policies’. Developing durable policy approaches is the holy grail of policy advice. We defined durable policies as the sweet spot between what is politically feasible, effective policy and administratively feasible.
