Abstract:
During the last 5-10 years, the topic of digitalization of the economy has gained increasing importance. One of the directions of this process is the issue and circulation of “cryptocurrency”, which was initiated in the framework of the project for the production of bitcoins. Currently, there are more than 1,500 cryptocurrencies in circulation, when assessing their total capitalization at the beginning of 2018 over $ 500 billion. Central banks and other government agencies are actively working to create a regulatory among new financial assets that claim to function as money . One of the pressing issues is the attitude of central banks to the issue of their own cryptocurrencies and possible mechanisms for the implementation of such projects.
