Abstract:
This work is devoted to the analysis of the export, import and consumption of Russia in terms of jobs. The calculations in this section are mainly used data base WIOD Socio Economic Account. An important aspect of the global value chains of international corporations is to optimize the costs of factors of production, in particular labor. Production of sophisticated technology products are often composed of a plurality of production steps, each of which requires a different proportion of production factors and components. Logistics and development of information technology has led to the fact that the manufacturing steps can be greatly geographically quite distant from each other. All these circumstances oblige governments to take into account not only domestic but also global factors in the formation of the optimal industrial policy and the rules of the game in the labor market. Depending on the conditions, some goods can be carried out within the country, thus creating jobs or imported, that could be perceived as an import jobs. Ultimately, these aspects may be important in determining the level of the country's total income, exactly as determining the level of inequality.
