Abstract: In this paper, the authors describe the situation of the human resources in the Romanian economy. After studying the main characteristics, the article includes an analysis of the training degree of the potential resource, a valuation on the usage of working time, the atypical and secondary activities, the unoccupied and discouraged population, the regional distribution of the active population. Each section includes an analysis on the official data panel, the interpretation of the results and conclusions.
