Abstract: Abstract Articles included in the special feature section were explained in terms of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It was shown that sustainability is conceptual and very flexible, while being too abstract for practice. This flexibility suggests a vast frontier for further research on Regional Sustainability in regional science fields. Various threats to humans were dealt with—global warming, natural disasters that could be intensified by global warming, the disappearance of marginal and minority communities, etc.
