Abstract: Abstract This paper aims to identify the perceived quality of life of women who fish and farm in the Maicá Lake region, Santarém, Brazilian Amazonia. The study was realized in 2018 and involved 18 women residing in two districts of Santarém (structured interview with open questions). The results indicate that the women's quality of life was related to factors such as health, family, work, religion, and community relations. The women regularly participated in domestic activities, while also adopting a productive work regimen. The study participants claimed that they were satisfied with their daily routine and saw no need to make changes to it. Understanding the perceived quality of life of women who fish and farm in the Amazonia provides meaningful perspective and enriches discussions aimed at the formulation of socio-environmental public policy.
