Abstract:
Abstract Academics and practitioners are paying increasing attention to service automation and taking advantage of the tremendous opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI). The requirement to deliver effective services has greatly increased interest in this topic. In the current study, we examined how AI is being used in healthcare. We searched the Scopus database for articles to obtain a thorough understanding of current research on AI in healthcare. After excluding articles not closely related to the topic, 190 articles (from 1992 to May 2022) were selected for in-depth analysis. This study provided a bibliometric analysis of the co-occurrence of keywords, citations, co-citations, bibliographic links, and number of publications. We identified under-researched areas in the field of AI in healthcare and highlighted important directions for future research.
