Abstract:
Abstract This study shows the defining role of the improvement in energy efficiency in inhibiting carbon dioxide emissions. A regression analysis is conducted, and the conclusion from it is that the energy efficiency levels of the sectors of Russia’s economy are highly dependent on their investment activities and the capacity utilization rate. An assertion is justified that the launch of economic growth is the key way of stimulating energy efficiency in Russia’s current context.
