Abstract:
Abstract The present article was written to contribute to the scientific discussion on food independence and food security problems which was opened on the pages of this journal at the invitation of the editorial board. For the second decade, Russia has been implementing the conceptually contradictory Food Security Doctrine. This article discusses determinants of the increase in food self-sufficiency in Russia over the past decade and its impact on the access to food products for every citizen.
