Abstract: Abstract Opportunities for socio-economic development are discussed, taking into account the contribution to GDP from the various sectors of the economy. It is noted that a high share of GDP comes from the mining sector of the economy while the contribution of the manufacturing sector remains relatively small. Constraints that limit the growth of processing industries, including the insufficient use of this sector’s potential are discussed. Conditions and constraints that hinder coordinated development of the various sectors, and ways to overcome these limitations are outlined.
