Abstract: Abstract The article presents the results of a quantitative analysis of the connection between the intertemporal changes in the performance of industries, or types of economic activities, and in consolidated macroeconomic indicators in Russia’s economy in 1995–2016. The presence of a cyclical factor is established in the connection between the changes in individual types of economic activities and macroeconomic indicators in this period. A possibility of using a special class of time functions (based on the Fourier transform) for modeling economic dynamics at the level of individual types of activities is analyzed.
