Abstract:
Abstract Service parts are ubiquitous in modern societies. Their need arises whenever a component fails or requires replacement. In some sectors, such as the aerospace and automotive industries, a very wide range of service parts are held in stock, with significant implications for availability and inventory holding. Their management is therefore an important task.
