Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a new lifetime distribution by using a quadratic rank transmutation map in order to add a new parameter to the log-logistic distribution. We provide a comprehensive description of the properties of the proposed distribution along with its reliability study. The usefulness of the transmuted log-logistic distribution for modeling reliability data is illustrated on a polled Tabapua race time up to first calving data.
