Abstract:
The article reviews and systematizes key theoretical works of foreign and domestic authors on crowdsourcing with the aim of enriching the theoretical base of crowdsourcing and forming a more detailed understanding of the term, because crowdsourcing is a phenomenon that overturns the notion of interaction between economic agents in the 21st century. The work presents interpretations of lead authors’ concepts and typologies of different types of crowdsourcing, as well as the evolution of opinions on the place and role of crowdsourcing in the development of society, companies and the state both in the world and in Russia. The author highlights the dynamic nature of changes in the essence of the term ‘crowdsourcing’ over its conceptualization. In addition, the author establishes a difference in the approaches of researchers to the analysis of crowdsourcing in Russia and abroad and gives his own treat? ment of the phenomenon allowing for the relevant directions of its use
