Abstract: There is little guidance as to what general information processing capabilities are required to support organizations' cross-border business initiatives. We draw on the organizational information processing view to identify ways to enhance fit between information processing capabilities and needs, thereby reducing uncertainties. Using a multiple case study method, we examine four projects in an effort to uncover how organizations can innovate across borders to reduce these uncertainties.
