Abstract: Ein erhöhter Krankenstand kann die Konjunktur dämpfen, wenn die Unternehmen bereits eine hohe Auslastung fahren und der entfalle Arbeitseinsatz nicht aufgefangen werden kann oder wenn erkrankte Personen vorübergehend ihren Konsum zurückfahren, beispielsweise weil sie sich bei Freizeitaktivitäten einschränken.
