The Influence of Behavioral Economic Factors on Japanese Women's Marital Behavior

Abstract: 本稿は，リスク回避度と時間選好という2種類の行動経済学的要因が，日本人女性の結婚行動に与える影響について分析を行った。これまでの先行研究とは異なり，結婚の決定要因として，伝統的な経済理論に基づく諸変数を数多くコントロールした上で，行動経済学的要因の影響を評価したことが本稿の特徴である。具体的には，鈴木（2024）による独身者・既婚者のプールデータを用いたプロビットモデルをベースに，行動経済学的要因を説明変数に加えて推定した。その結果，リスク回避度，高時間選好率，双曲割引のいずれの変数も，結婚の決定要因として統計的に有意とはならなかった。しかしながら，行動経済学的要因との関係性が高いと考えられる結婚サービスの利用や異性の紹介・出会いに関する諸変数を説明変数から除くと，双曲割引のみが正に有意な結果となった。
