Abstract: Infectious staghorn renal calculi was once referred to as “malignant stone†. During the periopera- tive period, severe sepsis and even septic shock can occur, posing a risk to the patient’s life. Percutaneous neph- rolithotomy (PCNL) is currently the recommended first-line treatment according to international guidelines. However, PCNL may not be suitable for certain special cases.
