Abstract: Currently, construction companies are interested in providing highly qualified personnel to improve their efficiency. This will help to maintain competitiveness in the modern market. The article examines trends in personnel management in the labor market. The main directions of the labor market development are analyzed, namely: the growth of digitalization and automation, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, the development of infrastructure projects in the public sector. The features of staffing and personnel management in the construction industry are considered: the uniqueness of construction facilities, dependence on weather conditions, the timing of construction projects, the difficulty in assessing the economic effectiveness of decisions made due to the timing of projects, the territorial division of management of a construction organization and production, multi-stage implementation of construction projects, etc. The problems and directions of improving the efficiency of personnel management in the construction sector have been identified.
