Abstract:
The authors carried out a large-scale analysis of the research and academic activity of the leading Russian universities, displayed on the site. The aim is to identify the problems of the virtual university and to find ways to overcome them in order to increase the competitiveness of Russian universities in the popular and respected in the world of higher education ranking Webometrics. The article offers some basic directions that will improve the quality and competitiveness of higher education institutions in the Russian and world market of educational services.
