Professionally-oriented Web 2.0 communication services as a basis for scientific and educational virtual environments of new type (through the example of specialized professional social network)

Abstract: The article analyses the causes and conditions of formation and distribution of specialized professionally oriented social networking as the component of Web 2.0 most significant for the development of nowadays scientific and educational spheres. The author show professional social networks can change the whole concept of modern education and become the basis of a new format of the virtual educational environment through the example of SNSs ResearchGate, Mendeley, Academia.edu.
