Abstract: Bankruptcy postponement is regulated by articles 376-377 of turkish commercial code and 179 of execution andbankruptcy code. It is a legal remedying process developed torecover “insolvent” capital stock companies from bankruptcy bycorrecting their financial situation under trustee management,should court finds the proposed “improvement plan” convincing.this study aims to profile the postponement litigations filed in turkeybetween 2009-2013. During that period, 2.712 litigations werefiled, 1.921 of them were concluded. Litigations were concludedin 285 days on average where postponement was accepted for30% while refused for 48%.
