Abstract: Effect of Operating Expenses on Firm Profitability: A Study on Firms Traded in the BIST30 Index Abstract The Political and Economic Dimension of the Turkey-USSR Straits Problem (1945-1953) Abstract The aim of this study is to decipher the economic and political dimensions of the Straits Problem between Turkey and the USSR, It is to reveal it depending on the results of the World War II. In addition, the historical dimension of how the Straits Problem, which arose from the policy of the Tsardom of Russia to enter the warm seas, turned into a process under the USSR regime, has been studied. From the findings obtained, it has been determined that Turkey prevents all kinds of dangers that may come from the USSR by following a policy of neutrality.In addition, Turkish-USSR Straits Problem has effect on the economic and political rapprochement between Turkey and Western states.
