Abstract: The article offers the author's interpretation of sustainable development of regional systems. On the example of the Vladimir region, the prospects for the development of eco-innovation as a factor in improving the sustainability of socio-economic development of the region. The conclusion about the positive impact of the use of energy efficient technologies on the level of economic development, investment attractiveness and competitiveness of the region.
