FROM THE MODEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS TO SIMULATION GAME: GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION

Abstract:
Consciousness as a foundation for the model of economic behavior. Its practical significance is illustrated using the example of economic education. There is a certain barrier or filter between what we intend to convey and what is actually perceived. The subjective process of perception rests on the act of understanding. It is possible to say that consciousness separates the two worlds: the inner and outer worlds of the human being – at the same time linking them together. If we are to transmit something from one world to the other, we have to base ourselves on a model of student’s consciousness. This model should also determine our ideas about the result of learning since the latter consists in certain changes in the student’s consciousness. We rely on the model of consciousness developed by the national school of psychology that allows us to establish a congruity between the structure of consciousness and that of reality being studied. The need for such congruity is shown on the example of economic simulation games.
