Abstract: This article highlights the main problems in the transport industry that hinder the development and implementation of innovations in this area. The description of the innovative infrastructure is given, which is able to ensure the implementation of innovative projects in the context of the main innovative directions in transport. The main innovative directions in transport that contribute to the development of the transport system of Russia are considered.Â
