Abstract: The article explores the features of the digital transformation of livestock farms, the stages of their development, the technical means necessary for the implementation of a smart farm, the economic and environmental aspects of smart animal husbandry. The conclusion is made about the underdevelopment of smart livestock farms in Russia and the directions for the digital transformation of smart farms based on domestic innovations are proposed.
