Abstract:
Many specialists know the problem of the “last mile†, which consists in a noticeable increase in the difficulties and costs that arise at the final stages of a process in economic systems. In some cases, insufficient efficiency and effectiveness of processes has background that arises at the initial stage of the process, or are generally beyond it. This problem of the “first mile†is considered in this article on the example of the organization of procurement activities of industrial companies.
