T. R. Masalimov () and S. F. Sayfullina ()

Business Strategies, 2023, vol. 11, issue 3

Abstract: The article considers the main factors influencing the effectiveness of the implementation of automated testing in software development teams. A method is proposed for assessing the need to automate manual testing (test cases) based on checklists and a decision tree previously presented in other works. Factors related to the availability of specialists necessary for automation, their qualifications and the availability of automation tools in the company were added to the checklist and decision tree. Also, a method for assessing the economic efficiency of introducing test automation based on the analysis of the return of investment ratio is presented.
