Integration Policy of Australia in the Asia-Pacific Region

Abstract: The article is devoted to the role of Australia in the creation and activities of APEC. Australia which had not positioned itself as a major international political scene actor start to act as one of the leaders of Asia-Pacific. The article author analyses Australia's position on key issues in the framework of the activities of the Forum for Economic Cooperation. Particular attention is paid to the signing of the agreement of the creation of Trans-Pacific Partnership and the participation of Australia in it. The article concludes that the participation of Australia in Trans-Pacific Partnership can lead to changing priorities in the country's economic policy to containment of the development of economic relations with China.
