Abstract: In this paper some of the mathematical and statistical properties including mean deviations, order statistics, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves, Renyi entropy measure and stress strength reliability of two-parameter Lindley distribution (TPLD) introduced by Shanker et al. [1] have been discussed. The goodness of fit of TPLD has been discussed with two real lifetime data and the fit has been compared with three parameter generalized Lindley distribution (GLD), two parameter gamma, Weibull and Lognormal distributions and one parameter exponential and Lindley distributions.
