Abstract: The problems of body weight increase and obesity have a tremendous impact on the quality of life since they are associated with comorbidities and psychological problems. The latter is much more important than one may realize. People need to be satisfied with their appearance; getting a bit fat and experiencing increases in body weight and waist may alter their “self-esteem†.
