Abstract: The chronic metabolic disorder, diabetes mellitus is a fast-growing global problem with huge social, health, and economic consequences. The prevailing method for determination of blood glucose concentration is using a self-monitoring glucose meter. Most of the commercially available devices for glucose measurement are invasive or minimally invasive. Invasive devices used for blood glucose monitoring are painful whereas minimal invasive devices have limited time span and stability.
