Abstract: Background: Adiponectin is a polypeptide hormone produced exclusively by adipocytes and is believed to play a vital role in the pathophysiology of diabetes, especially Type 1 Diabetes. This study aimed to determine the relationship between total plasma adiponectin concentrations and body mass index (BMI), fasting glucose and glycated hemoglobin levels among Saudi children with type 1 diabetes mellitus in Najran city -Najran region Southern KSA.
