Abstract: HCL is a well-recognized clinicopathological entity. BRAF-V600E mutation is present in many patients with cHCL and is absent in vHCL. Despite the remarkable progress that has been made with purine nucleoside analogs as the initial treatment of HCL patients, yet relapse and eventual development of refractory disease occurs. An appropriate approach to retreatment represents continuing areas for research.
