Abstract: The goal of CML treatment in the recent era is to discontinue medication for treatment free remission after achieving a stable deep molecular response. A prerequisite for TKI discontinuation is the assessment of the remaining tumor load by standardized molecular monitoring using high quality quantitative PCR by the international scale. Molecular monitoring post-treatment suspension is also imperative for CML patients attempting TFR.
