Abstract: During the proper functioning of the immune system reactive oxygen or nitrogen species are generated. These can affect by inducing oxidative damage. This condition occurs with ageing and with diseases. This condition can be annihilated by introducing the defaces by antioxidants. Dietary supplementation with antioxidants can prove to be a stepping stone in these conditions. Natural compounds from plants having rich sources of antioxidants can act as immunomodulators.
