Abstract:
Irreducible lateral patellar dislocation is a rare phenomenon. Different mechanisms can explain irreducible patella disclocation: patellar vertical axis rotation, impaction fracture of the medial patellar facet, presence of lateral femoral osteophyte and patella with a concave medial facet.
